AProcess

How every job runs.

  1. 01

    Walk the site

A senior estimator visits, measures, photographs and asks what you actually want. Free, and no obligation.

We open up what can be opened, check structure and services, and write a scope you can read without a glossary.

    Fixed quote

A line-by-line price with allowances marked clearly. You know what is fixed and what is a choice.

CQuestions

Things people ask before they call.

How long does a free consultation take?

About 60 to 90 minutes on site. You will get a written summary and a rough budget range within five working days.

Do you work with my architect?

Yes. About half our projects arrive with drawings. If you do not have an architect yet, we can introduce two or three that suit your style and budget.

Can we live in the house during a renovation?

Often, yes. We phase the work, seal off dust zones and keep a working bathroom and kitchen wherever we can. We will tell you honestly if a phase needs you to move out.

What areas do you cover?

The Triangle (Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill), Charlotte and Asheville. For commercial work we will travel anywhere in North Carolina.

Is your quote really fixed?

Yes, apart from clearly marked allowances (for example, tile at $X per square foot) and hidden conditions we could not reasonably see. Changes are priced in writing before they happen.
